CRABAUGH, Lydia - At the early hour of the Sabbath day, Feb. 12th, 1899 the gentle and loving spirit of Lydia Crabaugh took its winged flight to the saint's rest in Heaven, aged 28 years, 3 months and 14 days. She was converted and joined the Baptist church at the age of 14 years but later she became a member of the M.E. Church, South in whose communion the beautiful light of her christian life shone a distinct and constant flame to the day of her death. Lydia was married Sept. 24th, 1895 to Jessie Crabaugh of Carroll county, Ark. One sweet child, Lena May, aged 3 years, blessed this union. She was a prisoner of a lingering disease and for three months before her death she was a great sufferer. All that a loving sister, a devoted husband and skilled physician could do was done to arrest the ravages of the king of terrors, but to no avail. Her funeral services were held in the Cumberland church, after which we laid her precious body to rest in the Odd Fellows cemetery, Bentonville, Ark. We extend to her aged and afflicted father, her sisters and brothers, our deepest condolence.
