Sheldon Thomas “Shedd” McWilliams, Jr., 69, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died July 27, 2012, at his home. Born February 15, 1943, in Portsmouth, Virginia, he was the son of Sheldon Thomas McWilliams, Sr., and Jean Margetts McWilliams. He lived in Little Rock, Arkansas prior to moving to Siloam Springs in 1999. He received a PhD in Clinical Psychology and was a Clinical Psychologist at Deer Oaks. He had formerly worked at John Brown University, Siloam Springs, as well. He was a member of the Psychologist of Northwest Arkansas. Shedd was a Navy Veteran of the Cuban Crisis.

He married Susan Elaine Ratliff in Amarillo, Texas in 1977.

He was preceded in death by his mother, and his brother, Robert McWilliams.

Survivors include his wife Susan of the home; one son Thomas McWilliams of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Rebecca Ann Ratliff and husband Shaun of Elkins, Arkansas; his father, Shedd McWilliams, Sr. of Sandy, Utah; two sisters, Sharon Laurenzi of Sandy Utah, and Kerrie Kocis of Torrington, Connecticut; four grandchildren, Audrey, Brayden, Noah, and Alyson; and his mother-in-law, Betty Ratliff of Siloam Springs.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Arkansas with Pastor Dave Shoop officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home.
