Wilma "Jean" Newsom - McNabb Funeral Home January 16, 1929 - September 17, 2020

Wilma "Jean" Newsom, 91, of Pocahontas, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Jean was born January 16, 1929 in Walnut Ridge to Finander Childers and Dora Simpson Clements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie A. "Babe" Newsom.

Jean is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2020, from 4-6 P.M. with services Monday, September 21, 2020 at 10 A.M. in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at the Masonic Cemetery.

To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
