The Melbourne Times, Melbourne, Arkansas, February 8, 1929:

Esco Ruminer Dead

On Saturday morning Feb. 2 the hearts of the entire community around Mt. Pleasant were made to ache when the news came that Esco Ruminer was dead.

Mr. Ruminer was teaching a successful school at Salado, Arkansas, where he had made many friends.

He was sick only a few days. On Saturday, January 26, he visited his father Dick Ruminer and family. A week later he was brought back home a corpse.

Esco was an excellent man, capable, honest and industrious. His death is keenly felt by all who knew him.

He leaves a wife and five small children, a father, stepmother, four brothers and two sisters, to mourn his death.

Loved ones be of good cheer, for by and by you will meet him where you’ll never have to say goodbye.
