HERBERT CHARLES CAMPBELL, 78, of North Little Rock, passed away on June 29, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Betty; parents, Bert and Mary Ruth Campbell; sister, Ruth Arendt (Conrad). Herb is survived by his three children: Mark Campbell (Rebecca) of Bismarck; Suzanne Sims (Barry) of North Little Rock; and Andy Campbell of North Little Rock; his grandchildren: Clark Sims (Kimmie), Spencer and Olivia Sims; and Sarah, Markie and Ella Campbell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives who loved him very much. Herb was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 35 years of service. He also served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1955. He was a graduate of North Little Rock High School and UALR. Herb loved hunting and fishing with his buddies at Red Hill Deer Club, watching his grandchildren play sports, golfing, square dancing, camping, traveling with Betty and their friends, and spending time with his precious grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Monday, July 2, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 (501-791-7400) followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park. Betty Anne Smith Campbell, 74, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on April 13, 2011. She was born on June 28, 1936, in Perry County, Arkansas, to the late Verne Smith and Omie Raney Smith.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Herb Campbell; their three children: Mark Campbell and his wife, Rebecca of Bismarck, Arkansas, Suzanne Sims and her husband, Barry, of North Little Rock, and Andy Campbell of North Little Rock; six grandchildren, Clark, Spencer and Olivia Sims, and Sarah, Markie and Ella Campbell. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wilburn Smith, and is survived by her sister, Grace MacLean, brother, Jim Smith, and his wife, Louise, and sister-in-law, Virginia Smith, all of Conway, Arkansas, and many other family and friends.

She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. She worked for many years as kindergarten teacher's aide in the North Little Rock School District. She loved music, reading, sewing, square-dancing, camping, traveling with Herb and their friends, and spending time with her precious grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 (501-791-7400). Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2011 at the funeral home with Dr. Ken Shaddox officiating.
