Eunice Irene Scott
SPRINGDALE — Eunice Irene Scott, 100, of Springdale, died Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, in
Springdale.
She was born Aug. 9, 1910, in Boise City, Okla., to Eddie and Lila (Browder) Prince.
Mrs. Scott resided in the Monitor Community
most of her life. She was an accomplished basketball player in school. She was active in the Home Extension Club where she shared her passion for quilting with her friends. Mrs. Scott was a member of Southern Grove Missionary Baptist Church for 85 years.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Pierce Ivan Scott; 11 siblings; twin sons, Keith Ivan Scott and Kenneth Pierce Scott two daughters-in-law, Dorothy Scott and Mary Scott; two grandchildren, Diana Scott and Erick Ivan Bowers; and one great-grandchild.
She is survived by four sons, Charlie Scott and wife Beverly of Mesa, Ariz., Ralph Scott of Springdale, Tommy Scott and wife Rita of Elm Springs, and Jimmy Scott and wife Linda of Bethel Heights; daughter, Marie Dee and husband Tom of Bethel Heights; daughter-in-law, Betty J. Scott of Bentonville; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday,
Oct. 26 at the Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27 at Westfield Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery.
