HERBERT LEE HORTON, 85, of Sherwood, Ark., went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011. He was born in McRae, Ark. He was founder of Horton's Electric, Inc., and a deacon and faithful member of Highway Baptist Church for over 50 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and working with the church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Horton and Altha Lee Horton. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Juanita Horton; his children, Alice (Gaylon) Simpson, of Sherwood, Don (Margaret) Horton, of Jacksonville, and Pam (Charlie) Bradford, of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Glenn Simpson, Rebecca Heimlich, Chris Horton, and Kayla Bradford; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Horton, of Texas. The family would like to express their gratitude to the 4N staff of Conway Regional Medical Center, and Dr. Morgan Sauer and the loving staff of Hospice Home Care Center. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hospice Home Care Center, 2200 Bowman Rd, Little Rock, Ark., 72211. Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, Ark., 72116, 501-791-7400, with entombment at Rest Hills Mausoleum following. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
