Carmen Millard Elam
Carmen Millard Elam, 76, of Bentonville died Tuesday at the Gravette Medical Center. He was born Feb. 2, 1900, at Springtown. He spent most of his life in Benton County. He was a 20-year Bentonville rsident and was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the Wayside Chapel Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Elam of the home; one son, Bill Elam of Centerton; two daughters, Pauline Flowers of Riverside, Calif., and Irene Brandon of Paso Robles, Calif.; one brother, Alfred Elam of Joai, Calif.; two sisters, Alice Leach of Sand Springs, Okla., and Gertrude Brown of Joai, Calif.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Wayside Chapel Church in Bentonville with Rev. C.R. Dale, Rev. Jerry Davis and Rev. Wilbur Booth officiating. Burial will be in the Coffelt Cemetery under the direction of the Callison-McKinney Funeral Home of Bentonville.
