Sue was the first wife of R. A. Pickens I (1852-1926) he was the co-founder of the R. A. Pickens & Son plantation at Walnut Lake (now - Pickens, Arkansas). She had three children: Burton Cecil Pickens; Eddie Stanley Pickens and Katie May Pickens (Mills). This large plantation is still in operation today at Pickens, Arkansas. Her great-grandson, Reuben Andrew Pickens is Senior Partner of this plantation partnership. +
She is buried next to her son, Eddie Stanley Pickens (1882) in the Selma Cemetery at Selma, Arkansas where they originally settled before the founding of the Pickens plantation in 1881. ~
