March 11, 1878 - May 11, 1948
Mrs. Joe L. Galyon, Sr., aged 68 years, died at the Camden Hospital at 1:30 a.m. this morning. She is survived by one son, Joe Galyon, Jr. and one granddaughter, Joan Galyon, both of Camden; and one sister, Mrs. S. E. Mitchell of Boughton, Ark. She was a member of the Baptist Church for the past 35 years. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Proctor's Chapel with the Rev. Elmer Morgan, pastor of the Baptist Church in Cullendale, officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery with Proctor's in charge of arrangements. Active pallbearers: Howell Yeager, Roy Kennedy, Bromo Wilson, John Stinson, O. R. Stigell, and John M. Lide. (Camden News - May 11, 1948)
