March 30, 1872 - July 21, 1961
Mrs. Fannie Jordan Cawthon, aged 89, the widow of Eugene B, Cawthon, died Friday, June 21. She was a lifelong resident of Camden and a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include a son, H. W. Cawthon of El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. J. S. Shaddock of Camden, and Mrs. R. E. Sawyer of Springhill, Louisiana; Six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Proctor Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Troy Plunk. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be A. D. Mason, S. W. Coleman, Leon Taylor, James W. Sawyer, Volta Anders, Howard Graham, Woodrow McCarty, and R. H. Hotchkiss. She was the oldest member of the First Christian Church. She was born at Buena Vista March 30, 1872, the daughter of Jacob and Sallie Lewis Jordan. (Camden News - July 23, 1961)
