September 30, 1879 - August 10, 1974
Mrs. Edna Gilleland, 94, of Camden, died Saturday. Funeral services were to be held today at the Proctor Chapel. Burial was to follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home. Mrs. Gilleland was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Ottis Gilleland of Camden and Thomas Gilleland of Norfork, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. A. F. Thomas of Camden, and Mrs. Rudolph Schwab of Beaumont, Tx.; five sisters, Mrs. W. L. Baumgarner of Stanley, N.C., Mrs. D. W. Baumgarner of Belmont, N.C., Mrs. Walter Dunn and Mrs. E. N. Spittle of Mt. Holly, N.C., and Mrs. Ruth Duncan of Monroe, N.C.; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. (Camden News - August 12, 1974)
