Claude Helmick
GENTRY — Claude Jackson (Jack) Helmick, 76, of Gentry died March 31, 1996, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born March 27, 1920, in Woolstock, Iowa, to Fred Sylvester and Nellie Mae Helmick. He had been a resident of Gentry since 1973, moving from Anaheim, Calif. He was a truck driver for A&W Ready Mix in Siloam Springs and Gentry, a World War II Navy veteran, serving on the USS McCrackin, a member of the VFW and American Legion in Gentry and a Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Robin Helmick of Norwood. Mo., and Randy Helmick of Rogers; two daughters, Carolyn Bolin of Stanton, Calif., and Melody Donohew of Fayetteville; two brothers, Calvin Helmick and Bill Helmick, both of California; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with the Rev. Joe Finfrock officiating. Burial will be in Gentry Cemetery.
