BROYHILL, Mary BROWN - (from the Cottage Grove correspondent) Mary Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Brown, was born in Gentry Co., Mo. Oct. 8, 1844. With her parents she moved to Texas, then to Arkansas in 1867. She was married to Paul Broyhill Sept. 22, 1868, to which union was born seven children. She was converted at the age of 15 and united with the Baptist church and in 1911 she professed sanctification in a tabernacle meeting conducted by Rev. Will Robinson. She lived a consistent christian life; always trying to do her Master's will. She was in poor health several years but only seriously ill 9 days. She expressed her willingness to go, praising God for salvation. She died Oct. 22, 1917 at the age of 73 years. She leaves husband, 3 daughters, Addie Williams, Anise Barnwell and Alice Fowler, 15 grandchildren, 2 sisters and a host of friends to mourn her departure. Rev. Claude Goodwin conducted the funeral at the home and the burial took place at Bethel cemetery. The afflicted companion and family have the sympathy of many friends.
