SISLER, Mary E. BATES - Mary E., daughter of Judge Trent D. and Mary Bates, was born near Bentonville, Ark. April 18, 1877. She accepted Jesus as her Savior and united with the Methodist Church at Bethel in 1899 and lived the christian's faith and hope until her death, January 26, 1913. In January 1902 she was married to Charles H. Sisler of Florissant, Colo., who with their three little boys, Trent, Don and Jack, her widowed mother, brothers and sisters now mourn their sad loss. May God be with them all until they meet their loved one again. A large number of sorrowing friends attended the funeral services which were conducted by the undersigned, assisted by Bro. Wm. Edwards, in the old Bethel church. In the cemetery nearby we laid her body to sleep in the hope of the resurrection of the just. She left her home in Colorado a short time ago to be with her mother and other relatives, and hoping the change would be beneficial to her health. But, alas, she grew rapidly worse and the end came sooner than expected. J.A. Fair.
