LAWSON, Cora Pearl - We regret that we are called upon to announce the death of Cora Pearl, daughter of David L. Lawson of Hazel Dell, Ill., which occurred at the home of her uncle R.B. Lawson, Thursday, August 6th, 1891 at 3 a.m. She was fifteen years, six months and eighteen days old. Cora was a bright, lovable and loving little maiden just budding into womanhood and will be missed by the aunt and uncle with whom she has lived since the death of her mother about seven years ago. She has many friends among the pupils of the public school and the members of the Baptist Sunday School who will miss their loved companion. Much sympathy is expressed for the bereaved father who arrived some days before her death and for the uncle and aunt who have so tenderly cared for her. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church at 4 o'clock p.m. Thursday, after which the remains were interred in the beautiful little city cemetery.
