Audrey Lee Griggs, 71 year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died February 26, 2008 at Circle of Life Hospice. Born May 29, 1936 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Thomas "Kelton" Marlin and Mildred Crick Marlin. Audrey married Gaston Griggs on July 1953 in Cedar Grove, Tennessee. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and crocheting. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Gaston; one son: Barney Griggs and wife Patti of Lebanon, Tennessee; one daughter: Sherrie Lewis and husband Jeff of Siloam Springs; one sister: Dorothy Doggett and husband Birch of Rogersville, Alabama; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Wasson Funeral Home, Inc., Siloam Springs, Arkansas with Rev. Breck Castleman officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

Henry Gaston Griggs, Jr., 80, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, died November 17, 2011, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Arkansas. Born December 25, 1930, in Chapel Hill, Tennessee, he was the son of Henry Gaston Griggs, Sr., and Annie Fagan Griggs. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. In 1953, he married Audrey Marlin in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. He moved to Siloam Springs in 1975 and was a biology professor at John Brown University, Siloam Springs. Gaston attended the Presbyterian Church in Siloam Springs. Survivors include one son, Barney Griggs and wife Patti of Lebanon, Tennessee; one daughter, Sherrie Lewis and husband Jeff of Siloam Springs; two grandchildren, two brothers, James Griggs and wife Jean, and Lewis Griggs and wife Thelma, all of Chapel, Hill, Tennessee; two sisters, Louise Borkowski of Salem, Ohio and Marie Bradley and husband Mike of Boynton Beach, Florida. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2011, at Oak Hill Cemetery, with Rev. James Griggs and Lewis Griggs, officiating.
