LAWSON, James S. - Died, on Sunday morning, Oct. 14, 1888 at 10:30 o'clock, James S., son of Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Lawson, aged 3 years, 5 months and 29 days, of membranous croup. Little "Bubble," as he was known, had been suffering some with croup for a week prior to his death but had been up and around most of the time until Saturday afternoon when he began rapidly to grow worse and in spite of the efforts of family, friends and physicians, his little soul passed into the Great Beyond. The funeral services were conducted by Elder I. R. Hall at the Baptist church Monday morning, after which the remains were interred in the Odd Fellows' cemetery.
