Shaver Campground Cemetery
Izard County,
Arkansas

This marker is among the similarly styled markers in the Miller section of the cemetery. The Miller graves date to prior to 1900, but the gravestones have obviously been added within recent years.

It is unclear if the inscription of LEG on this gravestone is initials; however, there are not any recorded burials in the Shaver Campground Cemetery with the initials of L. E. G.

It may be that at some point someone lost a leg in an accident or had a leg amputated, and the person or the person's family thought the leg should be buried in the cemetery. If that is the case, the leg probably belonged to a Miller family member.
