Walter Greely Long of Calico Rock, son of the late William and Mayme Wallace Long, was born October 18, 1902 in Livingston. He died September 14, 1997 at Calico Healthcare. He was 94.
Mr Long was a farmer, a Veteran of World War II and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three sisters, Leota Rouse and Emma Brokaw, both of California and Ruby Jeffery of Desha. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters.
Graveside services were held September 16, 1997, at Mount Olive with Brother Jeff Sanders officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
