Ross Edgar Otts, Jr., 85, of Bigelow, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 24, 2011. He was born February 9, 1926 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Ross Edgar Otts, Sr. and Vera McCann Otts. He was a member of Bigelow Baptist Church. He retired as a telephone equipment installer after 35 ½ years with Western Electric; a 32nd degree Master Mason; past Master of Westwood Masonic Lodge #354; Shriner’s Scottish Rites; Yorkrite and was in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild; one great grandchild; and one brother, George Otts.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alene Taylor Otts; sons, Melton Otts (Cara) of Little Rock; Steven Otts, Sr. (Jeannie) of Perryville; Rodney Otts (Lisa) of Oppelo; David Otts (Jola) of Vilonia; daughters, Rosaline Lipe (Bruce) of Avilla; Connie Brixie (Eddie) of Little Rock; 27 grandchildren; and 41 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Bigelow Baptist Church with Reverend Cary Condray officiating. Interment to follow at Vollman Cemetery.
Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Arkansas 72209 (501) 455-5800.
