Samuel Mullins Dies in Veterans Hospital
Joseph Samuel Mullins, aged 61, veteran of World War I died in the Veterans Hospital at Fayetteville, Monday, March 15, following an illness of several months. Mr. Mullins whose home was near Oxford, was taken to the hospital last Friday. He was a native of Kansas and came to Izard County in 1920. He was married to Miss Martha Graham of Oxford Oct 16, 1921, at Wideman, Izard Co., AR. Mrs. Mullins death occurred about a month ago.
Surviving, are three sons, Melvin , James Lowell and John Allen of the home.
Funeral services were conducted at the Camp Ground Church Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. J. M. Rush of Zion and burial was in the Camp Ground cemetery.
(Note: The obituary has an "s" at the end of the surname; however, the gravestone, military records, and marriage records do not have the "s".)
