Howard Jay Moore
GENTRY — Howard Jay Moore, 81, of Gentry died May 29, 2002, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born Oct. 7, 1920, in Cave Springs to Bert A. and Eunice D. McMorris Moore. He moved to Gentry in 1962 and was formerly of Holy Oak, Mass. He retired from the Air Force in 1962, He was a veteran of World War II and of the Korean War. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Gentry. His wife, Ruth Moore, died in July 2000.
Survivors include one son, Howard Jay Moore Jr. of Kansas, Okla.; one daughter, Patricia Houtala of Sicklerville, N.J.; one sister, Eva Burge of Riverside, Calif.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with the Rev. Dennis Jech officiating. Burial will be in Gentry Cemetery.

GENTRY — Ruth Elizabeth Moore, 70, of Gentry died July 3, 2000, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born June 5, 1930, in Gentry to Ross and Mattie Phipps Carpenter. She was a life resident of Gentry and a former employee of Allen Canning Co. and Bratt-Wasson Bank. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Gentry.
Survivors include her husband, Howard J. Moore of the home; one stepson, Howard J. Moore Jr. of Stafford, Kan.; one stepdaughter, Patricia Hautula of Georgia; several cousins including Kathleen Jack of Garfield and Lorene Tillery of West Siloam Springs, Okla.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God in Gentry with the Rev. Dennis Jech officiating.
Burial will be in Gentry Cemetery under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
