Loretta S. Yancey
April 25, 1924 - September 15, 2012

Loretta S. Yancey, 88, a resident of Oakland passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012, at the Baxter Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 25, 1924, in Izard County. Loretta was a member of the Spring River Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Remmel Warren Yancey; four sons, Warren, Gerry, Jimmy and Larry Yancey; and a granddaughter, Dacia Yancey.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Yancey of Indiana and Roy Yancey of Oakland; a daughter-in-law, Martha Yancey of Oakland; a sister, Gail Gifford of Huntsville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at the Conner-Hankins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the Galatia Cemetery near Norfork under the direction of Conner-Hankins Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Spring River Seventh Day Adventist Church, c/o Jean Paul, 4 Winnebago Circle, Cherokee Village, Arkansas 72529.
