CARTER, David - We are sorry to announce the death of Uncle David Carter which occurred at his residence five miles south of the city last Monday. He was one of the pioneers of Washington county and has been a familiar figure on the streets of Fayetteville for the past fifty years. He was an honest and honorable man and had the respect of all who knew him. He was over eighty years of age and was hale and hearty when stricken down with pneumonia a little over a week ago.
