KIDD, B.P. - Short funeral services were held at the City Cemetery at Bentonville Tuesday forenoon for B.P. Kidd, father of Mrs. Vol T. Lindsey, who died in a Shreveport hospital Sunday. The body was shipped from that city over the K.C. Southern to Gravette where the "Flying Crow" made a special stop. A number of Bentonville people were there to join the cortege to the cemetery. Rev. A.W. Henderson, pastor of the Presbyterian church, conducted the services. Mr. Kidd was 62 years of age and had been in ill health for some time. Besides his widow, who is quite ill, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Vol T. Lindsey of this city and Mrs. Sylvester Wallace of Dallas, both of whom were with him during his last hours. For many years Mr. Kidd was prominently connected with two large business concerns in Little Rock. He had lived in that city for 15 years where he took an active part in educational and civic matters. A few years ago he moved to Shreveport where he was manager of the water company.
