Gilbert (Gene) Redd
TONTITOWN -- Gilbert (Gene) Redd, 79, of Tontitown died Feb. 10, 1996, at his home. He was born Aug. 3, 1916, in Bentonville to Charles Robert and Myrtle Lee Hutchison Redd. He was a carpenter and a member of the carpenters union, and had worked for the Bechtel Corp. in Long Beach, Calif. He was a lifetime resident of the Bentonville area. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Gammill Redd, in 1965; five brothers; two sisters.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Toni Redd of Bentonville; two daughters, Sherry Pianalto of Tontitown and Elizabeth Ann Lane of Rogers; one son-in-law, John Pianalto of Tontitown; one sister, Geneva Stallions of Marysville, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville with the Rev. Joe Correnti officiating.
