Rose Scrogham
Rose Marie Scrogham, 63, of Bentonville, died Tuesday, May 19, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
She was born Jan. 3, 1929, at St. Francis, Kan., to John Van Dyke and Christina Van Dyke. A long-time resident of Benton County, she was a nurse for many years at Bates Memorial Hospital and recently retired from the Veteran's Administration Hospital at Fayetteville. Her husband, William Howard Scrogham, died in October 1991.
Survivors are two sons, John Scrogham of Oak Grove, and Lt. Col. Jeff H. Scrogham of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter, Patricia Scrogham of the home; three brothers, Gerald Van Dyke of Grove, Okla., Gayland Van Dyke of Decatur, and Lonnie Ray Van Dyke of Colcord, Okla.; two sisters, Wanda Sparks of Decatur and Marlene Van Dyke of Siloam Springs; and a granddaughter.
Graveside service and burial are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Bentonville Cemetery with Don White officiating under direction of Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville. Visitation is set for 3-5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Bentonville, 807 Arkansas 102, Bentonville, 72712.
