Son of John Moody, Sr. & Angie Lackey Moody.
Married Ruby Faye McNeill, May 16, 1941, Salem, Fulton County, Arkansas.

Obituary For John Moody, Jr.:

John Moody, Jr. son of the late John and Angie Lackey Moody, was born on August 25, 1923, in Iuka, Arkansas. He departed this life on May 13, 2010, at the Fulton County hospital in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 18 days.

He was united in marriage to Ruby Faye McNeill on May 16, 1941, at Salem, Arkansas. He worked for 65 years in the real estate business. John was an avid hunter and a member of the United Methodist Church.

He was a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, a very talented baseball and basketball player, and an excellent baseball coach for his sons and others. He also served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.

John was a loving husband and father, and he loved being a granddad.

He leaves to mourn his passing: four sons, Jerry Moody, Michael Moody (Barbara), Johnny Moody (Rhonda) all of Salem, AR, and Steve Moody
(Nancy) of Pochahontas, AR: two daughters, Sue Lakey (Louie) of Mabelvale, AR, and Connie Bray (Sonny) of Salem, AR; one sister, Imogene Holmes of Henry, TN; fourteen grandchildren, fourteen
great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral service was May 15, 2010, at 10:00 AM at the Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Matthews and Rev. Jim Rowland officiating. Internment was at Spring Creek Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ted York, Scott Moody, Matthew White, John Patrick Moody, Mark Martin, and Roy Cunningham. Honorary pallbearers were
Milton Lee Humphries, Jack McCollum, Dr. Jim Bozeman, and Jack Humphries.
