William A. Tanner, Jr., 74, of Bigelow, died Friday, April 16, 2010.
William was born April 29, 1935, in Long Beach, Calif., to the late William A. Tanner Sr. and Eleanor Tanner.
He was a retired Lt. Cmdr. in the United States Navy.
Mr. Tanner is survived by his wife of 52 years, Belva (Kreiling) Tanner; five children, Donna Binz, Mark Tanner, James Tanner, William Tanner III and Audrey Anderson; ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Susie Weldon of Bartlesville, Okla.; and two brothers, James Sorenson and Robert Greiss.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, at Wye Mountain United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Lanita Daniels.
Burial will follow at Wye Mountain Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Wye Mountain UMC, 1402 Hwy. 113S, Bigelow, AR 72016.
