Mr. Johnny Lee McKisick Sr., 70, of Forrest City, AR died May 11, 2005 at Baptist Hospital Little Rock, Arkansas following a brief and sudden illness.Mr. McKisick was born May 9, 1935 in Goodwin, AR to Mamie Smith McKisick of Forrest City, AR and the late Peter McKisick Sr.Mr. McKisick was a member of the Goodwin C.O.G.I.C. and served as the President of the Trustee Board and on the Deacon Board of the Local, District and State. He was also employed by Eaton Corporation.Mr. McKisick was preceded in death by his sister Lyla Clemmons and a brother, Leonard McKisick. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Willis McKisick of Forrest City; five sons: Eric McKisick of Oklahoma City, OK, Johnny McKisick Jr. of Little Rock, AR, Derrick McKisick of Fayetteville, AR, Seth McKisick of Forrest City,AR and Brian McKisick of Little Rock, AR; seven daughters: Ruby McKisick of Steubenville, OH, Dr. Sheketa McKisick of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Sandra McKisick Williams and Sonya McKisick Gray, both of Atlanta, GA, Stacy McKisick and Serena McKisick-Hill, both of Little Rock, AR, and Charlene Washington of Kent, NY; five brothers: Peter McKisick Jr. and Samuel McKisick, both of Wheatley, AR, Elijah McKisick and Franklin McKisick, both of Forrest City, AR, Clifford McKisick of Jacksonville, AR; six sisters: Darthy McKisick of Little Rock, AR, Darthiella Wilson of Wheatley, AR, Fannie McKisick of Brinkley, AR, Emma Goodrum of Pine Bluff, AR, Barbara Haynes and Shirley McKisick, both of Forrest City, AR and twenty-one grandchildren.The funeral service will be Saturday, May 14, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Goodwin C.O.G.I.C. with Superintendent Ransom Smith officiating. The burial will be in Goodwin Memorial Cemetery by Christian Way Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Goodwin C.O.G.I.C.-Goodwin, AR on Friday, May 13, 2005.
