Mary Frances Stringfellow age 71, of Jacksonville, went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 8, 2011 at home with her family by her side. She was born May 29, 1940 in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late Frank and Helen Smith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her brothers Marvin Smith and Frank Smith, Jr. Mary Frances was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She retired from the Civil Service as an account supervisor winning Supervisor of the Year Award for Military Air Command. She was a licensed real estate broker, an antique dealer for many years owning Uniques by Frances for six years. She was an artist and obtained her Certified Interior Decorator License through the University of Illinois. She was the Decorating Chairman for the Scimitar Shrine Potentate Balls, the Scottish Rite Honors Nights, and special events.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Harold Dean Stringfellow Sr. of Jacksonville, Arkansas, daughters; Cynthia Lafran Whipple and her husband Bill of Benton, Arkansas, Lisa Ann Wise and her husband Brad of Naperville, Illinois, a son, Harold Dean Stringfellow Jr. of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and a sister, Linda Kelly, her grandchildren; Frances Jean Whipple, Elizabeth Whipple, Garrett Whipple, Chadrick Lane Baker, Ryan Anthony Baker, Christopher Allen Baker, Shelby Katherine Wise. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren; Braiden Michael Baker, Annabelle Baker, and Roman Baker due October 17th and a baby girl Whipple due in January.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Brother Cliff Hutchins officiating. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
