Allan George Wetzel, age 75, of Jacksonville, died Friday, November 18, 2011. He was born on May 16, 1936 in Niles, Michigan to the late Leonard and Vivian Rohlf Wetzel. Mr. Wetzel was also preceded in death by his wife Frances Wetzel and a son, Gary Wetzel. He served 19 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and six years in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his two sons, Roger and Kenny Wetzel and daughter, Vickie Richardson all of Jacksonville; two sisters, Marsha Franch and Sally Vanorman; four brothers, Michael, David, Larry and Dale Wetzel; four grandchildren, Shaylene and Ryan Wetzel and Allan and Amber Sloan; one great-grandchild, Braylon Brathwaite.

Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
