Aged 74 years
Thomas Brown was born in Ireland, and came to America in 1849, when quite a young man; was married to Isable Anderson on Sept 10, 1851, who with four sons, two daughters, 37 grand-children, 1- great grand-children and 2 sisters (both of Pennsylvania) survive him. He served four years in the Civil War, as First Lieutenant of Co C, Independent Battery Regiment Artillery Pennsylvania Volunteers; was honorable discharged; has belonged to the Masonic Order quite a number of years; has been a resident of this state (Arkansas) since 1870. He was 74 years. He was a kind and affectionate husband, father and brother.
