Annie Elizabeth HUEY

McCall - Remmel Cemetery
Jackson County,

Apr 27, 1856 - Jul 31, 1930

Mrs. Elizabeth Huey, wife of the late S. P. Huey (Lewis Price), died at the home of her son, Adolph (Adolphus Dorse Huey Sr), on Route 3, on July 31, 1930. Mrs. Huey had been in feeble health for some time and her passing was not altogether unexpected. She was in her 75th year, having been born (to Harvey Blair and Susannah Durrum Durham? Blair) in this county in 1855 (April 27, 1856).
She was married to S. P. Huey in (August 1) 1872. To this union were born 11 children, five of whom together with her husband, preceded her to the great beyond. Besides her children, she leaves 37 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends to mourn her death.
She became a member of the Church of Christ early in life and lived faithfully to the Gospel to the end.
She was a dutiful wife, a loving mother, a splendid neighbor and friend, but better than all this, she was a faithful Christain, therefore prepared for the final summons.
To the grief-stricken ones, let me point you to her Savior and her Bible for the comfort you are seeking. Emulate her life as she did Christ's, that we may meet her in that land where there will be no more sad partings. She was laid to rest in the Remmel Cemetery August 1. This writer conducted the services.
