Bonnie Kay Moix, age 53 of Greenbrier, died Sunday, April 28, 2002 at Salem Place Nursing Center, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born September 2, 1948, in Greenbrier, she was a daughter of Quinton Spears and the late Emma Athelene Spears. She was a food service manager for 16 years, most recently at Bob Courtway Middle School. She had been the caregiver for her mother and father. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Moix; and a daughter, Tammy Renee Spears. Other survivors are a son, Daniel Moix; two brothers, Gary Spears and Quinton Spears, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Kathryn Davis and Bonnie's twin, Donna Hawkins; and stepchildren, Armon "Buddy" Moix, Billy Moix and Angela Moix. Pallbearers were Jason Spears, Justin Spears, Wesley Spears, Hershel Smith, Sammy Smith and Jason Snowden.
