MARIE DOROTHY DAVIS, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, of Jacksonville, age 89, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 at Arkansas Hospice Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. She was born Dec. 11, 1921 to the late Charlie and Nancy Haslip. She was a member of North Jacksonville Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cephas M. Davis; brother, Emmitt Haslip; sister, Alma Cummings; son-in-law, David Jackson, and one grandson Shawn Michael. She is survived by two daughters, Doris Wood of Jacksonville, Ark., and Nancy Jackson of Quitman, Ark.; seven grandchildren, Jerry Healy, Lisa Dunlap, Kelli Hall and husband Roger, Kim Bradley, Johnny Bradley Jr. and wife Treva, Crystal Brown and husband Brian, and Matt Jackson and wife Annabeth; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, and one sister-in-law. A special thanks to the staff of St. Vincent North, Arkansas Hospice Hospital, and Woodland Hills of Jacksonville for their kindness and loving care. In lieu of flowers, send donations to Arkansas Hospice Hospital, 5600 West 12th St., Little Rock, Ark., 72204. Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 West Main St., Jacksonville. Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 5 at 2 p.m. at North Jacksonville Church of Christ and interment will follow in Serenity Garden Cemetery.
