Cecil Barton
Cecil Barton, 79, of Rogers, died Thursday, May 20, 1993, at St. Mary's-Rogers Memorial Hospital. He was born May 11, 1914, at Frazer, Mo., the so of John Bate Barton and Myrtle Cobb Barton.
He was baptized at the Baptist Church in Frazer, Mo., and was a member. He worked on military aircraft engines for Pratt and Whitney during World War II. He farmed for several years and was later employed as a forman and electroplater for Missouri Plating Company in Kansas City, Mo. He lived for most of his married life in Independence, Mo., and moved to this area in 1987 from Locust Grove, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Rachel Botts Barton, of the home; a son, Francis Botts of St. Peters, Mo.; a brother, William H. Barton of St. Joseph, Mo.; two sisters, Helen Ruoff and Dorothy Unterkirken of St. Joseph, Mo.; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m., at Callison-Lough Funeral Chapel in Rogers with burial in Rogers Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at 6-8 p.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.
