Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Automobile
Skull Injury Proves Fatal to City Man

A retired glass worker who was struck by a car in the 2200 block on Midland Boulevard early Friday died about 11:30 p.m.

He was identified by police and hospital officials as Frank J. Golden, 67, 2111 No. Tenth Street. Golden, suffering a skull injury, was taken to St. Edwards Hospital in a Twin City ambulance.

Officers Jim Hays and Keith Daniels said Golden was struck by a car driven by Troy W. Lovett, 30, 2916 Blair Avenue. The officers said Golden was walking west across Midland about 40 feet north of T Street when he was hit about 7:30 p.m.

The body was taken to Fentress Mortuary. A list of survivors was not immediately available.

FRANK J. GOLDEN - Funeral service for Frank J. Golden, 67, who was struck and killed by a car here Friday will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Fentress Mortuary Chapel.

Officiating will be Rev. Bob Parker. Burial, under the direction of Fentress, will be in the Forest Park Cemetery.
