Earnie Harold Meeks, 73, a resident of Prairie Grove, Arkansas, passed away July 24, 2009 at his home near Prairie Grove. He was born November 3, 1935 at Cowley County, Kansas, the son of Ernie Worley and Alice Bell Smith Meeks.
Harold was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed nature. He loved to hunt, fish, camp - almost anything that would get him out in the open. He will leave behind many friends and family who will miss him greatly. Harold was an Honorary member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Meeks, four sisters, Hazel, Dean, Arkie, Myrtle.
Survivors include one son, Earnie Harold Meeks Jr. of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; two daughters, Linda Gilligan and her husband, Mike of Wellington, Kansas, and Nancy Fricker and her husband, Steve of Haysville, Kansas; six sisters, Pauline, Karen, Eunice, Pearl, Sylvia and Louise; six grandchildren, Michelle, Buddy, Jonathan, Kenny, Sarah and Billy Joe; six great grandchildren, Payton, Anthony, Jordan, Hayden Marie, Sierra and Isabelle; one god child, Addison Rae Hughes.
