James Leroy Parks, age 61, of Bigelow, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012. He was born April 4, 1951 in Bigelow, a son of Silas and Lillian Hammett Parks. He was a grader operator for 38 years for the Perry County Road Department, a member of the Wye Mountain Country Club, and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his mother, Lillian Hammett Parks of Houston; brothers, Windel and wife Wilma of Houston, Robert and wife Carol of Houston, Harvey and wife Debbie of Morrilton; daughters Lisa Graves and husband Jimmy of Paron, Rita Mason of Conway; son Freddy Wilkerson and wife Kim of East End; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of other friends and family.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Dale Boyette officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home in Perryville. Arrangements by Harris Funeral Home of Perryville.
