M. RAILEY STEELE

Marion Railey (Ray) Steele, Gentry, died April 6 at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville. Born at Elm Springs, he was the son of W.V. and Laura Railey Steele, a member of Gentry United Methodist Church, a retired pharmacist and a veteran of World War I. He was graduated from the Kansas City, Mo., School of Pharmacy and was past district chairman of the Arkansas Pharmeceutical Assn. He served for many years as secretary of the Board of Directors of Gentry Schools and in various administrative capacities in the Methodist Church. He was past master of Gentry Masonic Lodge 222, F and AM, Siloam springs York Rites Bodies, Scimitar Shrine Temple, Little Rock, and served as grand master and district deputy of Masons. He was a charter member of Order of Eastern Star, 359.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nina Austin Steele of the home; one son, Railey Steele, Gentry; one brother, Arthur Steele, Gentry; one sister, Mrs. Mae Darbo, San Leandro, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Dr. L.A. Thomas and the Rev. David Driver officiating. Burial will be in Gentry Cemetery under the direction of Wasson.

Memorials may be made to the Methodist Church or Masonic Lodge of Gentry.
