Vinson R. Trammell

Vinson R. Trammell, 81 year old resident of Gentry, Ark., died at his home Jan. 8. He was born, Sept. 3, 1895 at Gentry, the son of William J. and Mary Ellen Jones Trammell. Mr. Trammell was a lifetime resident of the Gentry area. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a veteran of WWI. He was a member of the Gentry Masonic Lodge #222, A & FM, Eastern Star, and the York Rite Bodies and a member of the Gentry First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Olive, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Evans of Siloam Springs; one son, Eugene of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Babcock of Watsonville, Calif.; Mrs. Minnie Benton of Kingsville, Tex.; and Mrs. Pauline Setser of Evanston, Wyo.; one brother, Fred, of Siloam Springs; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at the First United Methodist Church, Gentry, with Rev. John A. Wilcher officiating and burial in the Gentry Cemetery under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home.
