ROGERS — E.J. "Jack" Wilmoth, 77, of Rogers died Jan. 8, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rogers. He was born Sept. 17,1929, in Decatur to Ernest Durwood and Opal Mae Setser Wilmoth.

He grew up in Decatur and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1951 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He was a captain in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and had been employed for 47 years by Peterson Industries in Decatur, where he was an executive vice president of Peterson Farms and Peterson International. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Decatur and served as the mayor of Decatur for 16 years. He married Jerry Massey on March 8, 1952.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Jerry; one son, Chuck Wilmoth and wife Deb of Decatur; one daughter, Carla Jackson and husband Roger of Rogers; four grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Jared and Derek; two brothers, Gene Wilmoth and Bill Wilmoth, both of Decatur; one sister, Lorrayne Peterson of Decatur.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with Dr. John Terry and the Rev. Terry Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Decatur Cemetery.

ROGERS - Jerry Dean Wilmoth, 79, of Rogers, Ark., died Aug. 8, 2012, at her home. Born Nov. 21, 1932, in McCrory, Ark., she was the daughter of Herbert Nathan Massey and Bertha Helen Ward Massey.

She grew up in Siloam Springs, Ark., and attended school at Hendrix College in Conway. She moved from Conway to Tulsa, where she went to work for American Airlines. She married Ernest Junior "Jack" Wilmoth in 1952 and lived most of her life in Decatur, Ark. Jerry was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include one son, Chuck Wilmoth and wife, Deb, of Rogers; one daughter, Carla Jackson and husband, Roger, of Rogers; four grandchildren, Scott Wilmoth, Jennifer Wilmoth, Jared Jackson and Derek Jackson; and one sister, Patsy Freeman of Siloam Springs, Ark.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Dr. John Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Decatur Cemetery.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
