Homer Hall Patterson

Homer Hall Patterson, 88, of Bentonville died Feb. 28, 1995, at Bates Medical Center. He was born Aug. 12, 1906, in Pea Ridge to H.J. "Dick" and Ida Testerman Patterson.

A lifelong resident of Benton County, he was a farmer specializing in apples, grapes and poultry. He was a poultry serviceman for Charlie Garrett of Rogers and for Ralston Purina. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bentonville, and had served as a deacon, choir member, and Sunday school teacher.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Eva Beatrice Patterson of Pea Ridge, Lena Mae Holtz of Warren, Mich., and Faytema "Fay" Patterson of Twelve Corners.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Pauline Black Patterson; two sons, Jack Patterson of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Jimmy Patterson of Bentonville; a daughter, Jo Ellen Gibson of St. Ann, Mo.; a brother, Hugh Patterson of Pea Ridge; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at First Baptist Church of Bentonville with the Rev. Ken Duncan.

Burial will be in the Pea Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville.
