J R Hardage, Sr, age 92, of Bismarck passed away at Hot Spring County Medical Center in Malvern. He was born in Bismarck, Arkansas, the son of Joseph Clyde and Minnie Allen Hardage. He was a devoted husband and father, a farmer and self-employed business man. He was a member of DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church. Preceding him in death are his parents, and sister, Susie Hardage.
Survivors are his wife of seventy-one years, Novella Shuffield Hardage; sons, J R Hardage, Jr, and wife, Joyce, and Craig Hardage and wife, Leyla; daughter, Kay Burns; sisters, Katy Holt and Ruby Burtonshaw and husband, Jack; grandchildren, Kyle Hardage (wife, Lamonica), Jason Hardage (wife, Brenda), Charidy Evans (husband, Richard), Amanda Boston (husband, Jason), Jay Burns, and Alan Hardage; great-grandchildren, Keith, Sarah, Jessica, and Zane Hardage, Alisha Evans, and Katelyn and Becca Boston.
Funeral services at the Regency Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern with Brothers Don Goodman and David Carroll officiating.
