Nancy Thorson

Nancy Ann Thorson, 62, of Siloam Springs, died Friday, May 21 at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville. She was born Nov. 11, 1930, at Jackson, Mich., to Lester B. Eckles and Dora M. Shaw Eckles. She was a former public school teacher and has been a resident of Siloam Springs for the past eight years, moving from Knoxville, Iowa. She was a graduate of Colorado Women's College, Denver and Iowa State University. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and First Presbyterian Church, Siloam Springs.

Survivors are her husband, Ted Thorson of the home; three daughters, Dr. Jayne A. Thorson of Ann Arbor, Mich., JoAnn L. Parman of Kansas City, Mo., and Beth A. Thorson of Milwaukee; two brothers, Robert L. Eckles and Oliver B. Eckles, both of Des Moines, Iowa; and a grandchild.

Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, Siloam Springs with the Rev. Tom West officiating. Memorial services will also be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church in Knoxville with the Rev. Kenneth MacCleod officiating. Local arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Memorials may be made to the Nancy Thorson Memorial Fund, c/o Arkansas State Bank, Siloam Springs, Ark.
