GRAVETTE - Elda Irene Singleton, 98, of Gravette, Ark., died May 2, 2012, at Highlands Health, Bella Vista, Ark. Born June 24, 1913, in Cisco, Ark., she was the daughter of Isaac John Burris and Bertha Bell Keller Burris.
She lived most of her life in Northwest Arkansas and was a homemaker. She married Leonard singleton on March 31, 1934, in Bentonville, Ark. Elda was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Bethel Heights, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Dixie Carol Hefton and Ruth Catherine Kuelper; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Floyd Neil Singleton and wife, Thelma, of Tulsa, Okla., and Gary Allen Singleton and wife, Gwen, of Maysville, Ark.; one daughter, Lois Ennis of Montana; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Bethel Heights Assembly of God Church, Bethel Heights, Ark.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today, May 4, 2012, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to Convoy of Hope, AG Disaster Relief USA, 1445 N. Booneville Avenue, Springfield, MO 65802-1894 - Attention: Fund 881001.
