Melvin Dyer Morton, 87, of Van Buren, former resident of Prairie Grove, died Nov. 29 in Crawford County Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 19, 1891, at Camden-on-Gauley, W. Va., he was the son of Adam Floyd and Martha Jane Hinkle Morton and a member of the Methodist Church. He was a retired Dodge dealer and a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge.
His only survivor is a niece, Mrs. Fred Woodford of Camden-on-Gauley, W. Va.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Luginbuel Funeral Home, Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Garrett Creek Cemetery.
