David "James" Garner, 52, of Mabelvale died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Baptist Health Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 31, 1956, in Malvern.
Mr. Garner was a heating and air technician after earning his degree from Arkansas Technical College. He was a member of the Little Rock Bop Club and a veteran of the Army and the Marines. He loved to make people laugh and could always tell the best stories. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dalton and Mary Childers; and his stepdad, John Minor.
Survivors include his mother, Nedra Garner; his father, James Albert Garner; and a sister, Pamela Davies of Benton.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kennedy Cemetery in Kingsland with the Rev. Paul Bass officiating.
Pallbearers are Lonnie Crowder, Jeff Davies, Tom Davies, Jay Davies and Randal Long.
Honorary pallbearers are the Little Rock Bop Club.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern.
Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Anchor Baptist Church in Brown Springs.
